Q. Being a Toronto kid, what does it mean to be drafted by a team right in your own
backyard?
BRAD BOYES: Right now, I can still hardly believe that following the -- I've been
following the Leafs ever since I was younger. Surrounded by huge Leafs fans, parents, all
of my friends. Like I said, it's still hard to believe.
Q. ...(Inaudible)?
BRAD BOYES: It doesn't matter to me. It's what happens on the ice that matters. Whether
you're drafted the first round or ninth round, it's whether you can play hockey that
counts.
Q. In your conversations in the interviews, can you just give an idea of what they said
to you, how it went, what kind of questions they asked?
BRAD BOYES: Toronto or --
Q. Toronto.
BRAD BOYES: It was a couple weeks ago. You know, they asked mostly general questions:
Strengths, weaknesses, how your season went. Those were the basic questions they asked me.
I don't really remember too much other than that; but, you know, it's still just, you
know, unbelievable that I'm here.
