Q. Were you able to go at the pins a lot better after the rain?
JULI INKSTER: Oh, yeah. They were holding pretty good. And the greens were rolling really well too. They were kind of sneaky fast. They kind of looked slow, but then they rolled really smooth. So I think tomorrow you're going to be able to attack. The par 5s are playing longer. The course is playing longer, because of the rain. So your main goal is to get the ball in the fairway.
Q. Have you played with Beth many times on a Sunday?
JULI INKSTER: Oh, yeah. I played with her a lot.
Q. Can you recall the last time?
JULI INKSTER: Corning. I played with her at the Corning Classic Sunday. We were the second to the last group. I ended up winning that one, so I'm sure she's going to want a little revenge. But I love watching Beth play. Because as far as pure ball striking there's not maybe one or two do it as well. But she's a great player.
Q. Let do the scorecard. Starting on 4.
JULI INKSTER: I hit sand wedge about 15 feet, made that for birdie.
5, I hit a 7 iron about 8 feet and made that for birdie.
6, I hit 8 iron about 20 feet. Made that for birdie.
15, I hit 6 iron about 20 feet and made that for birdie.
18, I hit in two. Made about a four footer for a birdie.
Q. What did you hit in?
JULI INKSTER: I hit 5 wood.
Q. 2 putt?
JULI INKSTER: 2 putt.
Q. How long was the first one?
JULI INKSTER: The first one was I was on the front and the pin was in the back, so, 60 feet. And I had about a 4 footer coming back there.
Q. When you look at the leaderboard, a lot of the veterans came through today under some difficult conditions. Do you think that could be attributed to --
JULI INKSTER: Being out here forever?
(Laughter.)
Q. Being mentally tough. Being able to handle the delay and everything else?
JULI INKSTER: I think we have gone through so much. I think the hardest part, and Beth could probably comment, is just for us was the stopping and going, getting limbered up again. I always like to hit a few balls before I go out and play and we didn't really have time. So I felt it took me three or four holes to kind of get loose, to get back in there. But I think we have been through it a lot and it really doesn't phase us any more.
Q. Did you ever think of putting that one before?
JULI INKSTER: No, because we were in the fairway. We hadn't hit our shots yet.
Q. Okay. When the rain delay started?
JULI INKSTER: Yeah. Yeah. No, we had, we were in the fairway when they blew the horn.
Q. All right. Thank you.
JULI INKSTER: Thank you.
