Q. What have you done to get back on track? What things have you changed?
LEE WESTWOOD: Trying to get a bit of feel back in my game, not being too mechanical. I always played with a lot of rhythm and lost that and tried to put it into positions too much, and now I'm trying to let it flow a little.
Q. Do you feel like things are changing for you, not just physically, but emotionally?
LEE WESTWOOD: Obviously, you enjoy it more when you play well, but it's another positive step towards getting my game back.
Q. Do you feel like you can become the player that you once were two years ago pretty soon?
LEE WESTWOOD: Yeah, I don't see why not. I don't think you lose your ability to play golf. Once you play golf at a high level, as soon as you start getting back into a rhythm of things, they come back fairly quickly.
Q. Looking to a month ahead, are you excited about the Ryder Cup; has there been a lot of talk about it?
LEE WESTWOOD: I haven't heard that much about the Ryder Cup. It's not been blown up as it normally is. It's always something to look forward to. It's a great occasion and you don't get to play it very often; so you might as well enjoy it while you're there.
Q. Is it a good incentive to play well?
LEE WESTWOOD: Obviously, I'd like to have my game in good shape by the time the Ryder Cup comes around. It's not much fun if you're not playing very well, and you want to be participating and helping the team as much as you can.
Q. You see guys turn around their game after missing cut after cut, and they get to a major and they do well. Can you do the same at the Ryder Cup or is the pressure too great for that?
LEE WESTWOOD: No, I don't think so. I think the pressure is as much as you make it. I've never really blown the Ryder Cup out of proportion. I only ever think about the Ryder Cup when I'm on my own, probably the week before at the earliest. It's just not worth worrying about. You go into it and you do your best.
Q. How do you think your team is shaping up?
LEE WESTWOOD: I think it shaped up a year ago, but I mean everybody, Pierre seems to have his game back on track and he's playing well again. My game is a little bit back on track, or going in the right direction, anyway. Sergio is obviously a quality player. Darren is playing well. Thomas is playing well. Monty I saw on the board, as well.
So it's going to be the same for our team as it is for yours. There's going to be some people playing well and some people playing poorly. It's one of those things that it's been put off and there's some people that are going to miss out and some people that are obviously going to -- that are still in there when they should not have been.
Q. I was going to ask about Monty as a leader; do you look up to him?
LEE WESTWOOD: He's a great player and you can always feed off of good players. We look at a few people. Sam is obviously the captain; so he's the ultimate leader.
Actually, Monty would be the next obvious choice as a senior figure. He's the next oldest. (Laughs).
Q. (Inaudible)?
LEE WESTWOOD: When you're playing on a tough course and your game is not as good you'd like, you're going to make six doubles and a triple. (Laughter.)
