ANNIKA SORENSTAM: Tough day. I don't know, I tried hard. Couldn't get much going. It's difficult with the wind. The greens are really slick. You know, they are drying out. I think they are rolling very good. It's almost like glass; the edges are so sharp.

Q. You've played this course a few times with Smoltz or whoever it happened to be with that time, is the scoring about what you thought it would be this week or are you disappointed with where you are?

ANNIKA SORENSTAM: I'm disappointed in my score. But then again, the course I think it's playing a little different than I had in mind.

Like I said, the greens are really fast. When I've been out they are, they have not been like this. Today I thought the pins were extremely tough. Some greens, they are very firm and some are not. It's tough to get close, let's put it that way. Even the though the par 5s are reachable, the pins are tough. That's what really made it difficult, I thought. When I played here on Monday and Wednesday, the pins --

Q. Set up for the recreational crowds?

ANNIKA SORENSTAM: Yeah.

Q. The leader is at 8 and you are now at

ANNIKA SORENSTAM: 2.

Q. Still in spitting distance.

ANNIKA SORENSTAM: Yeah, I am, I'm surprised. Like I said, I had a lot of chances I missed. I made some mistakes. But then again, I guess if you compare to everybody else, I've been hanging in there.

Q. Having fun doing the home crowd thing?

ANNIKA SORENSTAM: I did.

Q. See anybody you know out there from the grocery stores or whatever?

ANNIKA SORENSTAM: I asked for a lot of tickets, put it that way. It's fun. Once a year, and in Sweden, so for me it's twice a year.
