PAUL ROVNAK: Ai, welcome to the interview area. A great round today.

AI MIYAZATO: Thank you.

PAUL ROVNAK: You shot 67. You had nine birdies out there. You are 13 under for the tournament. You should have a good shot tomorrow. Go ahead and give us some opening comments on your round and then we'll go ahead and take questions. We'll take questions in English first and then questions in Japanese.

AI MIYAZATO: I didn't start out very well, but I had good concentration towards the end and I was able to play a good round today.

Q. The course seemed to play a little faster today than the first two days. Did that help you at all get closer to the pin to have nine birdies?

AI MIYAZATO: You mean the green speed? Yes, it was a little faster than yesterday. My rhythm was good today. I had good flow.

Q. Lorena is playing awfully well. I just wonder what you thought your chances were of catching her. I think you are like four back right now.

AI MIYAZATO: Well, it's hard work for me, but I'll try to win tomorrow. And then I need to have fun by myself. I need patience, but it's a good experience. It will be a good experience for me. I'll try to have fun.

Q. Did you hear from your brother last night?

AI MIYAZATO: Yes, I called him last night.

Q. You called him?

AI MIYAZATO: Yes.

Q. When did you find out what he had done?

AI MIYAZATO: Someone told me.

Q. Did you say coming out today, I have to do something to top that?

AI MIYAZATO: (Inaudible.) I'm going to beat him.

(Questions in Japanese.)
