ROME, ITALY
THE MODERATOR: Questions, please.
Q. (Through translation.) Is it your best match in Rome?
DAVID NALBANDIAN: (Through translation.) I played good with Mathieu as well. But today he had a very good serve. I think I play well. My return was very good.
Q. Is your game where you want it to be at this point?
DAVID NALBANDIAN: You always try to play better. Never it's good enough, so you try to improve match by match.
But I think I can play better than this.
Q. Is it about getting as many matches as you can at the moment with the French Open coming up?
DAVID NALBANDIAN: Yeah, I think so. I think every match make me more confident in the surface. I mean, if I keep playing a lot of matches, every time that I go on court I gonna play better for sure.
Q. (Through translation.) Many people think you are the third player who could win this tournament. What do you think?
DAVID NALBANDIAN: (Through translation.) Yes, of course Federer and Nadal are playing very well. They are excellent players and there is a huge gap with the other players. But as I am the third ranked, in fact I think I can beat them.
I never played against Nadal, but I played against Federer many times and I beat him. So I think I can do it, and this is what motivates me.
Q. (Through translation.) Have you ever been to the village of your grandparents?
DAVID NALBANDIAN: (Through translation.) No, I didn't have the time, but I would like to some day.
Q. (Through translation.) Are you going to see Federer on TV?
DAVID NALBANDIAN: (Through translation.) No, I have to eat.
