DENVER, COLORADO
MODERATOR: Bartolo Colon and the interpreter.
Q. Bartolo, how excited are you being the winning pitcher in the game today?
BARTOLO COLON: He says that he is really happy and he's really excited because he won
the game. And he's so excited also because his family was watching in his hometown in
Dominican Republic.
Q. Last year, one of the Spanish guys won the All-Star Game, and this year Bartolo won
the All-Star Game. What did that -- how do you feel about winning the game?
BARTOLO COLON: He says that that means a lot for the Latin community, you know, that
last year the Latin guys, they took some awards, like the most valuable, the winning
pitcher last year, Rosado, won the game. Then this year, Alomar, he stays in the family,
that he also being Latin, it means a lot to all the community of people all over the
world.
Q. What did Mark Wiley say to you when he came out to the mound?
BARTOLO COLON: He told him, you know, to wait the moments, relax, you know. Being for
the first time in the All-Star Games, you know, looked like he was kind of nervous. Just
pitch like what you've been doing during the season.
MODERATOR: One more, anything? Thank you, very much.
