ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, ILLINOIS
ERIC WING: We're back here in the interview room downstairs. Before we get to the winning connections of the Netjets Breeders' Cup mile we're joined by Dr. Wayne McIlwraith of the American Association of Equine practitioners. He is the on-call veterinarian today. Wayne is here to give us an update and account of the injury suffered by LANDSEER.
DR. McILWRAITH: Thanks. Unfortunately LANDSEER suffered a severe what we call a severe comminuted multiple fracture to the canon bone on the right front just below the knee. The fracture was open, also known as compound, and it required euthanasia.
ERIC WING: Any questions at all for Wayne here in the press box upstairs? Well, Wayne, thank you. Wayne will be here on-call for the day, so if you would like to speak to him later on he will be available, as well. Thank you, Wayne.
