Q. Can you tell us about where you live and where you play?
LUCA CEREDA: It's a little town in Switzerland, maybe 300 people. I live in a City of
5,000, 7,000 people.
Q. What is that called?
LUCA CEREDA: Bellinzona.
Q. Were you surprised to be picked in the position that you were?
LUCA CEREDA: Yeah. I didn't think I was in the first round. But I think it's a good
surprise. Maybe in the second round, but not in the first.
Q. Did you have any idea at all that the Maple Leafs were interested in you?
LUCA CEREDA: No. I just speak with some scout. No, I had no idea.
Q. I know you just have a little time to absorb this, but you're going to a city where
hockey really is the No. 1 sport. Are you looking forward to that? It's media intensive.
LUCA CEREDA: Yeah, sure. You know, for every player, National Hockey League is a dream.
For me, too. I try everything I can do to play there.
Q. Do you know much about the Maple Leafs and their history and that sort of thing?
LUCA CEREDA: I know it's legendary team in the National Hockey League. I know there is
a lot of good players there. So I think I will work hard to play in a team like this one.
Q. How many languages do you speak?
LUCA CEREDA: I speak Italian, French, German and English.
Q. What is your native language?
LUCA CEREDA: Italian.
Q. Are you from the Italian part of Switzerland?
LUCA CEREDA: Yes.
