Quick Quotes
Q. All right, I am here with Allisen Corpuz after her third round at the Ford Championship. Slowly moving up the leaderboard each day. Put three solid round behind you. Can you just tell me about the day today and your experience so far this week?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, another really solid round. I mean, I'm really happy with it, especially with how windy it was this afternoon. Just a fun 18 with Steph. She's always fun to play with.
And, yeah, made a few really good birdies on the 5s. Feel like they're all pretty gettable this week. Played pretty solid.
Q. What are some of the keys to this golf course if you want to be successful, especially as the wind really picks up?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I think just being really like trusting of your numbers. I feel like me and Jay always do a really good job of just, okay, like this might not be the perfect club, but if you're going to miss, you have to make sure you're in the right spots and really just taking the chances when they come.
So making sure that I'm birdieing par-5s and not letting strokes slip away.
Q. Just a few strokes back at this point. Tomorrow will you have to be more aggressive to really come out on top here or what's sort of the game plan?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I don't think I'll change too much. I mean, I do think it'll take a low round and I really think the difference is just going to be hopefully making a few more putts, not really so much changing the game plan.
But it's definitely a course that you can get after and see a lot of birdies. I mean, there has been a few really low rounds this week, so hoping I can go do that tomorrow.
Q. Last question: How many starts have you had this season? Is this your fourth or fifth?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Sorry.
Q. Starts, tournaments?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: One, two, three, four -- this is five.
Q. This is your fifth?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Uh-huh.
Q. And you're playing really good golf. I think you played well in Asia, too.
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, it was pretty good.
Q. Just tell me about the process of this year getting started with the schedule and putting together some really good rounds already.
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I think just every offseason I usually look back at the previous season and see what I did well, what I could have done better. I feel like there was a lot of swing stuff that I was working on last year that's kind of starting to kick in now, so it's been really nice to see the scores trending in the right direction.
