Quick Quotes
Q. I know it's a tall order trying to catch Joaco and DJ, but you're going into tomorrow with a shot.
CAMERON TRINGALE: Definitely, that's all you can ask for. It's nice to be up there, try and get our team across the line this week. We're a few back, five back. But anything can happen tomorrow. If we get four good scores, we're going to be a threat.
Q. How much did you guys get as a team from Phil's performance last week?
CAMERON TRINGALE: Definitely. To me, it was satisfying because he's been playing really well at home. He played great in the off-season. That's all nice, but unless you do it when it counts, it's almost more frustrating. It was satisfying just to see him get a good result because we know how capable he still is.
Also, we were like, all right, he's playing better than all of us. We don't want to let him down. That's not always been the case. Definitely great to see him playing better and having more fun and all those things.
Q. You got on the podium as a team last week, so that was kind of a good sign, too.
CAMERON TRINGALE: Yeah. We were right there. Eight times out of ten we probably win if we had a better last four holes. I was playing with Andy, and we definitely left a lot of shots out there.
Hopefully we'll learn from that, and this week keep the pedal down and keep chasing down the Aces.
Q. What would it mean for you guys to win as a team? I think a lot of people are rooting for you.
CAMERON TRINGALE: Yeah. We all just want it so bad. We want to prove to people that we're a legitimate team. There's no reason we can't do it. We're all excited about the chance.
Like I said earlier, that's all you can ask for is a chance on Sunday. We're right there within smelling distance. Yeah, it would mean a lot to us.
Q. Do you feel like this course -- like you were going to play well on this course? It's so much different than last week yardage-wise and size-wise.
CAMERON TRINGALE: Yeah, I've always played well here. I had bad Sundays the last couple years, but I've always been in good position going into Sunday. I knew if I played how I'm capable of playing, it's a good fit for me. But it's not like I expected to always -- to be in this position.
But I do like the course, and I think it suits my game well.
Q. Are the size of the greens better for you?
CAMERON TRINGALE: I don't know if it's the size of the greens as much as it's just the mid to long irons. There's a lot more mid irons. It's more of a -- you have to control the ball from 150 to 225. You're hitting the long end of your irons quite a bit. So just being in the right position is a strength of mine. Here's the proper side, this is the putt, and giving yourself chances.
