Q. Joaco, 67-64, obviously three shots better. But from a ball-striking perspective, how would you compare the two rounds?

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: Yeah, I think they were pretty solid, both of them. I feel like there's a few iron shots that I've been missing. I feel like it's kind of tricky with downgrain and into the grain, the club does feel a little weird sometimes. But I hit good shots, and other than yesterday's round, I think my putter was pretty good today.

Q. I love watching you hit your tee shots; you can hit it right to left, left to right, low, high. Do you map out which tee shot, what shape you're going to hit before the week, or do you decide when you actually hit the tee?

JOAQUIN NIEMANN: I kind of decide -- obviously it all depends during the round how the wind is feeling and how I am feeling. There's different shots with a 7-wood. I hit a lot of draws today. With the 3-wood I like cutting a little bit, and with the driver, I like both depending on the hole.

But yeah, it's mainly when I get on the tee and how I'm feeling.
