THE MODERATOR: Let's welcome the captain of Fireballs GC, Sergio Garcia. Sergio, you shot a bogey-free 64 today. Tell us a little bit about your round.

SERGIO GARCIA: Yeah, obviously delighted with that, both of those comments, bogey-free and 64. Yeah, just a solid day. I didn't put myself under a lot of stress throughout the day. I hit the ball nicely. I drove the ball very nicely pretty much all day, and I putted pretty well. Obviously a good combination.

Q. You are consistently in flash over the last couple of years. You're always here post-round, you're always top of the leaderboard. What is it about the consistency of your play? How do you maintain this level of consistency week in, week out, always at the top of the leaderboard?

SERGIO GARCIA: Well, thank you. Thanks for that. You just work hard. You go out there, you try to be as confident as you can be, trust yourself, trust your ability. Some weeks you feel a little better, some weeks you don't. It's just a lot of hard work.

Obviously not only game-wise but mentally and staying in shape physically, that's pretty much the only thing you can do, and then just go out there and enjoy it and try to do your best.

Q. You're one of the great ball strikers. Tell me about this course and how you feel it suits your game.

SERGIO GARCIA: Yeah, it's an ideal kind of golf course. It's an old-style, traditional kind of style, which I love. It's a similar course to what you might see in like Valderrama or something like that that I've always enjoyed. Very happy to be here and playing and doing well. We'll give it another shot tomorrow.

Q. For tomorrow, knowing the weather is going to be kind of similar, calm day out there, are you going to be aggressive in your play? What's your strategy heading out there?

SERGIO GARCIA: I'm going to try to be the same way I've been the last couple of days. Obviously I'll try to be confident and aggressive when I feel good about it, and whenever I don't feel as comfortable, I'll try to be a little bit more conservative and a little bit smarter, I guess.

At the end of the day, that's the only thing I can do, go out there and give it my best and see where that ends up.

Q. Sergio, you're one of 11 guys that switched putters this week. You've been putting pretty well. Why did you make the switch?

SERGIO GARCIA: Yes, I have been putting pretty nicely. I've been looking at blade putters, and I've always liked them, but I couldn't find one that kind of felt right.

I had one at home from probably six years ago, something like that, and I obviously put everything that I needed to put to make it fit to my setting right now that I'm using. It felt really good. I felt like the amount of putts, the amount of good putts that I was hitting consistently was even better than with the putter that I've been using for a year. I felt like I could line it up even better.

Obviously it's always a little bit of a gamble, but it's nice to see that it's working, and I feel very comfortable with it. So that's great.

Q. Do you enjoy more playing courses like this, the shorter courses, the tighter courses? Obviously Valderrama is a great course for you. Is that more enjoyable than some of the longer tracks for you now?

SERGIO GARCIA: Well, to me, everything is -- nothing really about likes and dislikes, I guess, but to me, these kind of courses make you think more. You don't have to hit driver every single time. It's nice to get on courses that actually make you think and make you pretty much hit every club in your bag, and it's not just driver, tee it up as high as you can and just hit it as hard as you can and then deal with it and not really worry about anything because it's wide open or something like that.

I've always enjoyed these kind of courses, and I've generally done well in these type of courses, and I'm very happy to see that I'm doing that again this week.
