WOMEN'S AMATEUR ASIA-PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP

March 8, 2025

Yunseo Yang

Pattaya, Thailand

Quick Quotes

Q. Great round today. Talk us through your round.

YUNSEO YANG: Before I tee'd off the third round, to be honest, my condition wasn't 100% because of an upset stomach.

So actually I didn't take any breakfast or anything. Just empty stomach and went outside just playing. So that makes me more focused on my game.

But throughout the play I lost my rhythm in the middle of the play, so during that time I made a few mistake, but I bounced back to my game and finish quite well, yeah.

Q. You're in a really good position for the tournament. Lots of Koreans playing at the same level. That must make you proud, all of you playing so well.

YUNSEO YANG: As I mentioned in my previous interview, this is any first appearance playing in the WAAP, so I didn't really my goal was to like win a championship or those things.

Just wanted to have a great experience, learn a lot playing this tournament with other players. I'm so proud that this is one of the best tournaments among the Asia Pacific region, and after the third I see so many Korean players on the top leaderboard. That makes me so proud.

So probably we have one more round left, so I'll try to encourage myself and to my teammates to finish well for tomorrow.
