Quick Quotes
Q. 36 holes without a bogey, playing Paul Casey golf, fairways and greens. An unfortunate miss on the last hole, but how satisfied are you with the way you're playing?
PAUL CASEY: Really satisfied, and it wasn't an easy putt on the last. Any putt you saw me kind of blow by the edge today was not easy, and that's this golf course. Proud of the way I played.
I'm trying to just hang with the young guys. If Pete had not made bogeys today, he'd be about five ahead because the firepower coming from guys like Peter is tremendous. But I'm very proud of the way I played.
Q. Pete, you don't quite play the same way he does, but you're still right there with him. How do you stay so calm given some of the positions you put yourself in?
PETER UIHLEIN: Yeah, I feel pretty good on the greens. I feel comfortable. Feel like my wedges are pretty good, too, so even if I'm out of position I feel like I can kind of put myself back in position and I feel like I have a good chance getting up-and-down.
Yeah, the times I got it in play, I converted, which was nice, which is what I've got to do on these kind of days. Hopefully it's a little bit more steady tomorrow, and we'll see.
Q. Paul, you say when you go to a place where you've got good vibes, you play good golf. What is it about this place that gives you the good vibes and you're producing good golf?
PAUL CASEY: Well, I hate to say this because you live here so I don't want to build you up too much, but Hong Kong is truly one of the great cities on the planet, and there's a lot that goes into it. Pete and I probably agree, it's everything. We stay in a great hotel, we're looked after phenomenally well, but it's the other stuff; it's the people, it's the culture, the blossoms on the trees, everything. You just get a good feeling when you're here, and we're very happy to be here, and I think that's reflected in the smiles in the guys' faces and the golf we play.
Q. Pete, you've probably played this course more than anybody in the field because you've played a lot of Hong Kong Opens. Do you feel like you have a slight advantage, especially on the greens here, which are quite tricky?
PETER UIHLEIN: I'd like to say I've always putted good out here, but it feels like this is the first time because they are tricky. I've definitely had some history, which is nice, because there's some putts that they look like they go one way with the grain and then they go the complete opposite.
Yeah, the experience does help, but tomorrow should be fun. I think it's Serge and Paul, both great guys, world-class players for a long time. They're going to be very solid and steady, and it should be fun. Should be a good test.
