Quick Quotes

Q. What was going well for you today?

SEBASTIAN MUテ前Z: Well, I feel like I'm getting back to trusting my ball-striking pretty much a lot, so it's just a lot more free. Even though I started with a bogey, with a three-putt, I didn't let it bother me, and I just gave myself chances and made the first one on 17, and then just kind of went on a roll for a little bit there.

The second part of the front is kind of tough, so I just kind of held on pretty good, and then I missed the one on 13. That was one that I wanted. But I'm pretty happy with my round.

Q. What's the longest birdie stretch that you've had?

SEBASTIAN MUテ前Z: Seven, on the PGA Tour, in the Playoffs in Boston, first round. I started with seven straight.

Q. What's it like when you get on a streak like that?

SEBASTIAN MUテ前Z: Oh, it's nice. It's very nice. I just keep pushing, and I'm just going to focus on making more birdies, and I just kind of let it flow.

Q. Speaking of birdies, you've got quite a lot this season already. I can't remember if you're first or second --

SEBASTIAN MUテ前Z: Yeah, last year I was also pretty good in birdies up there. Probably top 10. Yeah, I can make a lot of birdies. If I can just take care without making bogeys, I can have a lot of close -- maybe some good events and fight for the trophy.

Q. Did you think this course would be like this today? Did you think they might be lower because of the soft conditions? How would you evaluate it?

SEBASTIAN MUテ前Z: I don't know, what finished, 7, 6? I honestly didn't even thought about it. I just kind of came here, and I think some of the guys kind of started early, like 3-under through 3, and I thought, we'd better get going. But then there's some tough holes out there, and the wind was kind of picking up towards the end. I thought the scores were nice. I think they were reflective of that it wasn't that easy. But it's been a little softer than what the course would want it to be.

Q. I think it's supposed to maybe not be as bad or kind of be nicer weather. What do you go into the weekend, what's your thought process?

SEBASTIAN MUテ前Z: I think we need to make more birdies. We need to make more birdies because they're going to go low, and we're trying to get those trophies for the team, for myself. It's just focus, keep doing what I'm doing, and keep pushing.
