Q. Cassie, fancy seeing you in a place like this. Second event out on the LPGA and tied for the lead. That's got to feel good.

CASSIE PORTER: Yeah, it's great. I'm just having fun out here really. Yeah, it's great. Still got a lot of golf to play. Get into it tomorrow.

Q. How have the energy levels? Battling the weather; a little under the weather. How you feeling?

CASSIE PORTER: Yeah, I'm feeling okay. Being a little sick has helped a little bit to slow me down a little bit. I get pretty quick if stressed or anything, so it's kind of forced me to slow down a bit.

I'm feeling okay and just having fun, so...

Q. Talk to us a little bit about the partnership with Dan Morrison on your bag. Such a positive guy. Your coach as well. How important is that for you not on this weekend, but in the year ahead?

CASSIE PORTER: Yeah, it's really comforting having him here and having him whenever I play obviously. Obviously worked together for a long time. I started working with him when I was 13, so he knows me better than I know myself. Yeah, it's really good, especially on a day like this. It's windy out there. Having that calming influence as well is really important.

Q. How do you go about setting goals for the year and could you have pictured this, where you are after 36 holes?

CASSIE PORTER: I mean, it's always the goal to be in contention. I'm not too surprised if that makes sense. We work for this. It's nice to see some hard work paying off. As I said before, there is a lot of golf to play and a lot of golf to play in the whole season, so ready for it.
