Press Conference
THE MODERATOR: Jeeno, can you talk about your performance today, 3-under par?
JEENO THITIKUL: Yeah, I think it's really nice opening round for the first round. The afternoon wave kind of like more windy than the morning, but I think I just knew that if I go out and shoot under par it's good enough.
So I think it's kind of like my actually one goal today.
Q. You had a phenomenal front nine. What was working so well for you on that front nine?
JEENO THITIKUL: I think the wind is kind of less than back nine on this week. But had a chip-in, and then also I think I hit it close like for the first three birdies, which is nice.
So I think the back nine I think today played a little bit harder on the back nine, because like a lot of into the wind, especially hole No. 10 is so insane.
But overall, I think shooting under par here, no matter it's front or back nine, it's good enough.
Q. (Regarding Ruoning Yin.) Any talking, any communication during the match?
JEENO THITIKUL: Actually, it's all about the food and then talking about like she learning Thai, I'm learning Chinese. That's basically what we're talking.
Q. Jeeno, you were amazing talent junior before. How do you describe yourself right now compared to the time you're a junior and right now you're a pro?
JEENO THITIKUL: I think on my like game it's pretty much the same. I think what is better compared to the junior life is I think I have more distance. I have been working on grinding more distant before I turn pro, and after I turn pro my distant got farther, which is made me like play easier.
Where I think all the games that I have, it's pretty similar to what I have been like doing in the past.
Q. Last season to this season, you played very well. (Indiscernible.)
JEENO THITIKUL: Well, I think every day that we go out and play golf it's different, but like what I really want to do is just be consistency as much as I can, because like every week that we play it's all very different, laid out different, especially the green.
I think this is my fourth week in a row from the first week to now. I feel like everything is so different, like totally different. That's what I really like put more important on that part. Yeah, that's pretty much it, yeah.
Q. Jeeno, you almost got a hole-in-one on hole 7.
JEENO THITIKUL: Did I?
Q. Yeah. So any expectation to get a hole-in-one here in Blue Bay?
JEENO THITIKUL: To be honest I'm the type of people that's not really get hole-in-one or hole-out often. I think it's type of people who can did it a lot of time, but I'm not the one. So I think making birdie is good enough.
THE MODERATOR: Thank you.
