Q. Here with Angel after her second round. 8-under today.

ANGEL YIN: Yes.

Q. Talk about what went really well. You had a lot of birdies.

ANGEL YIN: You know, putts started dropping in. I had opportunities in the start of the round but didn't capitalize, and then putts just started pouring in, which was nice.

And this is a golf course where a few putts drop and it just shows up on the scorecard. It's a very gettable golf course, but at the same time very challenging.

I don't know, just quite lucky out there.

Q. Any holes you were able to take advantage of with your length today?

ANGEL YIN: To be honest I really thought I was going to take advantage of my length on 18, but kind of blasted a little right, to the right of the fairway, and then the hole became really long because it's a dogleg to the left.

I wouldn't really say that today really like it showed up I have such a huge advantage.

Q. Were you aware of where you were on the leaderboard? Seems like there is a bit of separation happening on the leaderboard.

ANGEL YIN: I mean, I started the round knowing that I needed to chase the twin. Sorry, I don't know her name. I know her name, but I think I'm going to butcher it.

Q. Akie.

ANGEL YIN: Akie, okay. You know, I know obviously there will be some really good golf put there and people are going to score, so I just wanted to try to catch the leader and also score on my own.

And, yeah, I was looking at the leaderboard. I'm a leaderboard looker. (Laughter.) I'm terrible. I'm going to be looking.

Q. All right, thank you very much. Oh, the other thing I was going to ask you about is you're leading the field right now in greens in regulation.

ANGEL YIN: Nice. And they asked me to be a DJ next week. I can play my song finally. I'm going to be the DJ and play some really sad music and then remix it.

Q. What are you focusing on when you're going for the green out here?

ANGEL YIN: Trying to get my distance right, direction right. That's really important. But distance. You know, the greens are decently big. When they tuck the pins the green becomes smaller because of that area you're trying to go to.

But anywhere on the green is always very good, so that's what I'm trying to do. Yeah.

Q. It seems very easy, especially looking at 18; missed the green by just a little bit. Are you really trying to go for a lot of the tiers and pin seek, or being conservative sometimes?

ANGEL YIN: I think being conservative. My shot going into the last hole I was in the rough. I was trying to roll it up. I wasn't in the most optimum position to be going to be the green nor the pin, so green was nice.

Also the placement of where you want to be on the green. Like long was going to be a very difficult putt. Jin Young and Nanna had a really good putt coming down.

You could make a mistake easily from there. I wanted to be kind of below the hole. These are just wants. To be able to execute it also generates a lot of looks, so just pretty lucky out there.
