ALL-STAR GAME: SHAQ'S OGS VS. CHUCK'S GLOBAL STARS

February 16, 2025

Victor Wembanyama

San Francisco, California, USA

Chuck's Global Stars

Mixed Zone

Championship: Shaq's 41, Chuck's Global Stars 25

Q. What was your first All-Star Game experience like?

VICTOR WEMBANYAMA: It was better than I expected. The format, 40 points, I think it worked out really well. It felt like there were high stakes in the games. It was better than I expected, and that format, I think it worked pretty well.

Q. What do you think about the break about them giving the TNT guys their fishing gear? Did that slow you down or anything?

VICTOR WEMBANYAMA: For sure, for sure, but it was good to pay homage to those guys. It was fun. But yeah, maybe 20 minutes, that's a lot.

Q. Are you familiar with Shaq, Kenny and Chuck? Do you watch the TNT show a lot?

VICTOR WEMBANYAMA: Of course, yeah. The players, too. I don't watch TV, but I've seen videos, highlights of them.

Q. What's the biggest lesson you've learned playing basketball?

VICTOR WEMBANYAMA: I mean, that will power is the key to, what do you say, space between you and others.

Q. Your thoughts on your effort tonight.

VICTOR WEMBANYAMA: I'm proud of being an All-Star. I'm proud of giving everything that I have tonight.

Q. Do you think your level of intensity sort of raised everyone's level?

VICTOR WEMBANYAMA: I hope so. I have to watch the tape to be sure but I hope so.

Q. What is the most important thing the Spurs have to do to reach the playoffs?

VICTOR WEMBANYAMA: Gaining a bit of confidence because we have such changes in the season. Also defense I think is the key. Going back to the status of one of the best defenses is the key.
