Q. Talk about playing in San Francisco and the Bay Area this weekend.

JALEN WILLIAMS: I think this is a full-circle moment that comes with it. Obviously I went to school down the street from here, so it's very special. All the struggles that I had throughout college that I kind of like come back here and I'm where I'm at.

Q. Did you get to spend any time with Steph this weekend?

JALEN WILLIAMS: A little bit. In the locker room, too. Just kind of give him his flowers a little bit. Obviously this will be his last one that will be in the Bay, so I know he's looking forward to it.

Yeah, just talked him up a little bit. This is his weekend, so I tried not to ask him too many questions.

Q. When you went to school here, how often did you get here?

JALEN WILLIAMS: Honestly, watching games was hard because I was playing. I saw a couple of them. I would say honestly I came here to watch a baseball game more than anything. I would come up here and just walk around, get out of the burbs and scoot around. It was just something else to do.

I went to school during COVID, too, so it was a little harder to get to games.

Q. With the format being only 40 points, do you guys feel like you had a chance to really warm up? Some of the guys were saying that.

JALEN WILLIAMS: Yeah, it was a little quick. I would have loved to play a little longer. Obviously this being my first time, I would like to just play longer. But you've got to win.

This is the first time they're doing it, so it's not going to be perfect. But yeah, I wish we could just play a little bit longer.

Q. Did you feel like it was pretty competitive?

JALEN WILLIAMS: Yeah, I actually sweat. I didn't think I was going to sweat.

Q. Do you have a message for your fans?

JALEN WILLIAMS: Thank you guys for supporting me. It's surreal that I have fans here.
