Quick Quotes
Q. Sergio, congratulations on your fifth team win, your first one with your newest member in Luis, 12-under collectively as a team today on a really tough golf course. How proud are you of your boys?
SERGIO GARCIA: Yeah, super proud. Obviously bittersweet with Abe, the way he played. He was there the whole day, and it would have been nice to get the double.
But yeah, super proud of the way they all fought and in tricky conditions, like you were saying. Obviously David played amazing. Abe played really, really well, too, under that much pressure, and Luis put a good round today, and then I was able to help a little bit, too, so that was nice.
Q. I just saw you hugging Abe and whispering something into his ear. What advice did you give him?
SERGIO GARCIA: I just told him that I was proud of him and that obviously I know that he's disappointed, but he did a lot of good things, and he has to remember those. Obviously it always hurts. It happened to me two or three times last year.
The good thing is I think he played really solid. That's the most important thing, and he's going to take all those positives.
Q. You led all the way as team captain from the front. You played great today. How motivated were you starting today to lead your team into this win?
SERGIO GARCIA: Yes, obviously it was something that I wanted to do because we were right there. I had in my mind trying to shoot 6-under today, which I knew wasn't easy, but I felt like I could do it. I was right there, and unfortunately bogeyed the last. But just super proud of the way everyone played and to get another win.
