Quick Quotes
Q. Bryan, first of all, you're the winner of the Africa Amateur Championship. How does it feel?
BRYAN NEWMAN: It feels really amazing. It's so special. To do it here at Leopard Creek makes it even more special.
Q. You've obviously gained an exemption into The Open at Royal Portrush this summer. How exciting is that opportunity going to be for you?
BRYAN NEWMAN: Yeah, it's really exciting. I can't wait. Yeah, really looking forward to it.
Q. Is there any kind of golfers you have in mind that you'd love to play with when you get to Portrush?
BRYAN NEWMAN: All of them, definitely. I'll be able to learn from all of them, and yeah, just can't wait.
Q. Talk us through your round today, 2-over par, so slightly more difficult. Did you feel a bit nervy out there?
BRYAN NEWMAN: Yeah, I definitely felt nervous down the last, but I was just trying to make a lot of pars out there, which I did somewhat. Made a couple of mistakes down the stretch, but luckily I had enough of a cushion.
Q. Just overall how was your experience this week? What did you enjoy? Winning this week is important, but what else did you enjoy about participating in the championship?
BRYAN NEWMAN: Yeah, it's just such a privilege playing here at Leopard Creek, definitely the best course in South Africa, maybe in Africa, as well. But it's also special playing with all the other players around. I'm quite friendly with a lot of them.
