AFRICA AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

February 6, 2025

Jack Buchanan

Malelane, Mpumalanga, South Africa

Quick Quotes

Q. So, Jack level par today, different to yesterday, but how do you feel after that performance?

JACK BUCHANAN: Yeah, any time you can shoot level par an Leopard Creek you'll take it. Played solidly and hit the ball well, and excited for tomorrow.

Q. Talk us through some of the highlights of the round.

JACK BUCHANAN: Yeah, I didn't start off too well. Kind of when we made the turn I got a bit hot, birdied 10, 11, and 13, which was nice.

Couple bogeys, few small errors coming in, but nice to finish with a birdie on 18.

Q. Looking forward to the round, still very much in contention. What's the plan now?

JACK BUCHANAN: Yeah, two rounds done. Halfway still to go. A lot of golf. Hopefully not many more shots to be played. The fewer the better.

A lot of golf left, a lot of good guys up at the top of the leaderboard, so just going to be finding what's working over the next couple days and sticking to that.
