Q. ... over that back nine today.

LEONA MAGUIRE: Yeah, I mean, I felt like I was swinging it well. Just trying to stay patient. Hit a really nice shot into 12 and got a bit of momentum. Bit of a blip on 13.

Yeah, I mean, it's my home course so I know these holes pretty well. I know I can birdie them all, so just a case of trying to give myself chances.

Hit some really nice iron shots and didn't leave myself very far for birdie. Yeah, nice to finish.

Q. Players I talk to with this being the season opener, kind of in two different camps. You got the players using this week as an evaluation point. Others have been grinding and are ready to jump into the year. Which are you?

LEONA MAGUIRE: I think a bit of both. I think I made a few changes and tweaks. This week was always going to be a nice test to see where my game is. So far so good.

We'll see what it does over the weekend. Yeah, it's early in the season. I always like to try and get off to a good start. Nice to be able to do it here.
