Quick Quotes

Q. Paul, first of all just comment on the 67 today.

PAUL PETERSON: Not sure I've ever finished when it was that dark, but, yeah, thought I blocked my second shot into 9 and got a report from someone that said it was in the middle of the green.

That was surprising, and was really happy to finish with a birdie in the dark and not have to get here at 7:15 and then obviously go back home and come back out for my tee time.

So be nice to be able to sleep in tomorrow.

Q. Did you contemplate not finishing?

PAUL PETERSON: Oh, yeah, from the second shot onward. It was really dark, so, yeah. My caddie and I had a conversation on pretty much every shot on the way in.

Q. And now just one back going into the weekend, how excited are you for the final two rounds?

PAUL PETERSON: Yeah, going to be great. In an awesome position to have a good weekend, and looking forward to the next couple days.

Q. Back to finishing, what were the dynamics going on out there with the last couple groups?

PAUL PETERSON: It's just like that sun gets behind Diamond Head and gets dark real quick. We came off 7 and the group in front of us was still on 8. Just seemed a little bit logjammed. I think if they had been down the fairway we could have hurried up.

Really thankful they let us hit our tee shots. Almost felt like we were going to play through at one point, but, yeah, just happy to be done.
