Q. How long was that?

MAX ROTTLUFF: Good question, probably 60 feet.

Q. When you got to 18, you could have moved the cut line because right now there's a ton of people at 3.

MAX ROTTLUFF: With a bogey?

Q. No, with a par.

MAX ROTTLUFF: With a par.

Q. Because you would have been at 3.

MAX ROTTLUFF: It would be T-20 and a bunch of guys in the playoff?

Q. Yeah, there was a guy behind you who three-putted, so he went down to 3. He's coming up next. It's all interesting how it played out. You probably don't have any kind of recollection of where the cut line was, or how much were you keeping tabs on that?

MAX ROTTLUFF: Again, I was -- on 9 I saw the leaderboard. I saw I was at minus 1 there, and I think it was like T-19 or something like that. I was like, okay, it's not as low as it was yesterday kind of thing.

I thought it was playing a little bit tougher with the wind and whatnot. So it was like, okay, 4 is in a pretty good spot, and that was just kind of like the game plan. Obviously try and get good looks and play every hole to the best I can.

Then once I got to minus 3, I was like, okay, I'm in a good spot now. Obviously just like that, can go the opposite way, or at the same time, trying to make a birdie here and not be in the playoff. Obviously anything can happen in a playoff.

Q. When you were standing over that putt, you pretty much knew that there was going to be in a playoff?

MAX ROTTLUFF: I didn't look at the leaderboard prior to hole 18. Playing hole 18, I had no idea, but I had a feeling that 4-under is probably going to put me in a better spot than 3-under.

Q. True. What's the mindset going into tomorrow? 36 holes, going to be a long day.

MAX ROTTLUFF: Yeah, today was a grind. I really didn't have a whole lot of good in my long game, to be honest with you. I'm going to try and get on the range here in a minute and get a couple things sorted out.

It's going to be a lot of golf. It's going to be great. It's only 20 guys. So really anything can happen. The goal is obviously to win tomorrow and get that spot. Ultimately there's a lot of really good, good players here. Nobody got there by accident.

It's a great format. I've loved this whole week. I love getting to know Saudi Arabia. The coffee, the dates, phenomenal. I've had such a good time already, tomorrow is going to be a lot of fun. It's been a long day, but obviously I'm looking forward to it.

Q. People are fascinated by you being roommates with Jon. Have you heard from him?

MAX ROTTLUFF: Not yet. I'm sure he's following along. I haven't -- my phone has been fairly quiet, as a matter of fact, but maybe that changes after today. We'll see.
