THE MODERATOR: Welcome to the media center here at the CME Group Tour Championship. I am pleased to be joined by this year's Vare Trophy winner, Ayaka Furue. Ayaka, what does it mean to you to be the first player from Japan to earn the Vare Trophy?

AYAKA FURUE: I feel the winning the Vare Trophy is such is difficult thing to achieve and I think very happy to have this trophy in my hands right now.

And then I'm so honored to be the first Japanese player to win this trophy. Yeah, I'm so honored.

Q. You finished with a scoring average under 70. When you look at your season, what are you most proud of?

AYAKA FURUE: I had more than ten finishes in top 10 and then I won a major championship, so, yeah, that was kind of one of the things I can be proud of.

Q. Did you know where you were when it came to Vare this week or even today?

AYAKA FURUE: I knew that I am the competitor of the Vare Trophy, like a few weeks ago, few months ago because the media, all of the media was asking about that. So, yeah. I'm aware of that.
