Q. All right, here with Linnea Strom after the first round. Solid round to start this tournament. Just talk about what it's been like to be here at this CME Group Tour Championship again.

LINNEA STROM: It's great to be here. I love this place. I think it's a very fun golf course, especially when it's windy. I mean, it is pretty wide open so I think the wind just makes it a little bit trickier, which I enjoy.

So hopefully can continue to be a little bit windy throughout the weekend.

But, yeah, I'm super excited to be here. It's just great to finish the year over here.

Q. And your round today, just talk about the highlights, what you felt like your highlights were.

LINNEA STROM: I would say it was overall pretty steady. My putter was working but I was also pretty steady in general; good off the tee.

Yeah, just, yeah, I don't know. Just nothing special. Handled the wind well. When I did miss it it was usually in good areas, and I think that helped here.

Q. And you have your family here this week. You got to celebrate your first win last night. Talk about that experience last night at the Rolex Awards.

LINNEA STROM: I loved last night. I had so much fun. I love dressing up and all of that. It's something different. It's not something we do every day. I really, really had a great time. Got to bring my mom to the awards yesterday.

And it was very motivating, too, to just be there and see Nelly, Lydia, Ally, all of them get their awards. I think overall a really good night.

Q. Talk about the emotions when you, yourself, were on stage? Were you nervous at all?

LINNEA STROM: Not really. It was fun. It's kind of fun to get reminded of the win that I had earlier this year. Sometimes I forget about it myself. I think it's just enjoy the moment, and it was a good reminder and kind of gave me some inspiration going into today to just try and finish this year off good.

Q. That was going to be my last question. You had a win this year. Talk about the season as a whole.

LINNEA STROM: It's been a little bit up and down. I didn't start the year after great. Like I said earlier, too, like I mean, the win kind of game a little bit unexpected for me, which makes it great. But also it was kind of tough for me after that to kind of find a good balance because I still had to get back to work and continue the process that I kind of started a month prior to the win.

So I think it was a little bit tricky. Then I saw some good results end of the summer again, so it's been a little bit up and down, but that's how it's always going to be. Yeah, just trying to finish this strong.
