THE MODERATOR: Among all the incredible wins of Jannik this year, where do you rank this one?

SIMONE VAGNOZZI: For sure it's one of the best because we are in Italy and he was not able to play in Rome. I think this one make more special this victory. At least same of the two slam, at the same place I think.

THE MODERATOR: Questions.

Q. Can you explain what the transition has been like and how it's gone, how you're able to incorporate the new members of the team? What have they brought to Jannik for these last few months?

SIMONE VAGNOZZI: For sure is not usually situation, no? Doesn't happen so many times. But tennis, we learn. We learn always to adapt ourself to the new chapter.

We take two guys with a lot of experience. They come with experience of Novak. For sure really professional guys. The two change something, no? The method is different, for sure. Step by step we found a really good - how can I say in English - really good method with them. The result is going well.

For sure it's not easy not to bring some new method during the season. For sure them job would be more important during the pre-season for the next year. We will see.

For sure are really nice guy. Are really professional. We're really happy to have them in the team.

Q. One year ago Jannik was in the Finals, but it was obviously not the same player. What kind of look do you have on the journey that's been the whole year?

SIMONE VAGNOZZI: Sorry, I didn't understand the first sentence.

Q. I wanted to know how you see the whole journey, the whole year, since the last Final here.

SIMONE VAGNOZZI: For sure was amazing year. We start with a victory in Australia and we finish with the trophy here. Was amazing year.

It was really long year, stressful year, for sure. But we are happy with everything we achieve this year. First two slam for Jannik, first win here in Italy with ATP Masters.

I think if someone before the start of the season ask to sign for this result, for sure we sign it. We are really, really happy about this.

Q. Jannik has described you as a very detail-oriented coach which helps him with small technical points. Are you surprised how quickly he picks up new details?

SIMONE VAGNOZZI: For sure the job of the coach is also to understand if the player is able to change something, no? He's the kind of guy that normally, if you ask to make something different, he's doing really fast. So for sure with him it's really bit more easy to change something. He's the guy that if trust you, he will give everything to try to make it happen.

I think when we start, we change a lot of things. We are really happy with the journey that we have from the first day of our job together. It's not just my job. Is Darren job, all the fitness coach, the physio that every day we work with him.

I said already, we are really happy how he improve from the first day that we start together.

Q. What is it like for you and Darren sitting side by side during one of the matches that Jannik is playing? You can't do anything, you're sitting there. The emotions, what is it like for the two of you?

SIMONE VAGNOZZI: We are really quiet, me and Darren, normally. Jannik is not the type of guy that want too many words during the match. We try to give just a small, small help during the match.

Normally we see how we start the match, if is a good day or a bad day. This year was a lot of good day during the season.

I mean, today we was really calm because we saw him all the week. We saw him today before the match during the practice. He was hitting really well. We was quite confidence that he was able to make a good match.

For sure we was sure was tough match because Taylor was playing really good. But we was confidence that Jannik had the chance to win this match.
