Quick Quotes
Q. Wonderful round of 6-under par for 66. Let's talk about the early part of the round, first of all, three behind at start of the day, three ahead out in 30, fantastic round of birdies. What was going through your mind as that was unfolding?
RASMUS HØJGAARD: Not much, to be fair. I obviously hit it close and stiffed it there on 3 and hit it very close on 4. Was a massive confidence boost. I was just trying to ride the wave a little bit and see how many birdies I could make.
Obviously got a little quiet on the last nine holes.
Q. How good was the five at the last? One of the best I can remember.
RASMUS HØJGAARD: It was looking more like an 8 at some point. Yeah, incredible. It wasn't an easy pitch shot, short right to be fair, and got it up to, what, a decent chance to hole the putt. I had already written down a six on my scorecard. Very happy.
Q. How do you approach tomorrow mentally and tactically?
RASMUS HØJGAARD: Kind of like I did today. Try not to worry too much of what's ahead of me. Try and play one hole at a time and see if I can get the best score possible out of that hole, just like 18.
So yeah, I think that's my target for tomorrow, try and keep the bogeys away.
Q. Your brother won this championship last year. How special to put your name alongside his on that trophy?
RASMUS HØJGAARD: Pretty cool. We talked about it earlier this week how cool it would be, another Højgaard could defend the title. It would be quite cool if that was to happen.
