Q. 8-under bogey-free, how do you find it in your first round in Abu Dhabi?

FRANCESCO LAPORTA: I only had one bad shot today. All the rest was pretty good, short game, long game, very solid. Good round. Good start.

Q. What was your mindset when you saw the scores that were coming in, because the inclination would be you'd have to be aggressive, I imagine.

FRANCESCO LAPORTA: Yeah, we don't have much wind today. So I think it's probably going to be like this the whole week. I mean, just had a lot of good chance, and yeah, I know the score is going to be low. I try to go low as much as I can.

Q. Last three result, great weeks, especially Korea which earned you a place here. How difficult is it to think about what you need to do this week for DP World Tour Champs?

FRANCESCO LAPORTA: I just try to enjoy the week. My family is here, and my parents are here. Try to do my best this week, and yeah, this is the only goal.

Q. Some incredible golf being played out there, 15 miles an hour is the most we are expecting this week, so I can only think that greenskeepers will want to make things difficult for you. Do you think pin positions will change throughout the week?

FRANCESCO LAPORTA: Probably. Probably, yes. I think they are going to put some pins like in the corners. Yeah, this is, well, even Rory said yesterday in the interview, he said he expect a lot of low scores. Me, too.
