Q. What was the key to that low number on day one?
THORBJØRN OLESEN: Definitely my putting. I holed some long putts. Yeah, just putted well all the way around. Obviously played pretty well, as well but the putter was definitely on fire the whole day, and you know, with the conditions of the greens, if you putted really well, you can make a lot of putts. Yeah, I'm very happy with that.
Q. Hot enough out there for? You. How did you manage the energy? It will be a factor for all the players for sure.
THORBJØRN OLESEN: Yeah, it's a hard one. There's not that much breeze out there, so it definitely feels hot. I think maybe I'm a bit more used to it now after being out here for a couple of years.
So yeah, it is tricky.
Q. What was the focus and real goal for you heading into the final two weeks of the year, end of the DP World Tour season, a lot at stake?
THORBJØRN OLESEN: Yeah, two of the biggest events we have all year besides the majors. A lot of points up for grabs these two weeks and yeah, it's always nice if you can finish strong to a season.
So yeah, I'm excited. I like to play in the Middle East. I always enjoy coming here. Try to do my best and we'll see what happens.
Q. Obviously the DP World at the end of the season but PGA TOUR cards are on the line, as well. How much do you focus on staying in your own lane and staying present and let all that other stuff take care of itself if you play good golf?
THORBJØRN OLESEN: Yeah, I don't think it that much actually. I think the events are that big and that prestigious that winning one of these is huge. Obviously the PGA TOUR card would be great but I think the tournaments are big, and that's what you concentrate on.
