Q. Here with Bianca. Bianca, solid way to start this week at the LOTTE Championship. How would you assess your first day here in Hawai'i?
BIANCA PAGDANGANAN: I'm pretty happy. Honestly the vibes have been really good even off the golf course, so the fact that I'm able to bring the good vibes into the golf course definitely helps my game.
The wind picked up a little bit towards the end of my round so that was quite the change. Overall I'm pretty satisfied how I played. I took advantage of all the birdie putts that I had; gave myself a lot of opportunities.
But at the same time, still managed to play smart out there. Again, with the conditions, it's easy to get impatient, so making sure that I'm smart with every decision that I make out there helped me.
Q. Obviously you talk about the conditions and the wind picking up at the end. Four birdies in your first six holes. Just how much did that advantage help you, knowing that conditions would pick up at this time of day?
BIANCA PAGDANGANAN: I don't know, I think yesterday I played the pro-am and I kind of noticed that the greens were a little soft, so coming into today I was like, you know, if the conditions are pretty much the same of how was it yesterday I could probably try to go for pins earlier in the round.
I knew the wind was going to pick up, so if I was able to kind of make a little bit more birdies on the front nine, kind of help me towards the back, then that would be great.
I was able to do that, so it helped me out.
Q. And I know the two bogeys, but then to close with a birdie on the 18th hole, how much was that kind of a relief with the day over?
BIANCA PAGDANGANAN: It felt really good. I kind of like how 18 is set up. It's a pretty gettable Par-5, but at the same time, still got to be pretty smart with your second shot. I had kind of a tough third shot, but I was able to stick it close, make the birdie, and kind of call it a day.
So, yeah, nice way to finish my round.
Q. Talk about the vibes of Hawai'i and just overall not many tournaments left in the 2024 schedule. What was the game plan for this week and how do you approach knowing everything is on the line with the Race to the CME Globe?
BIANCA PAGDANGANAN: I don't know, I just really enjoy my time in Hawai'i, and when I enjoy off the course, I tend to kind of bring it to the golf course.
I have great hosts this week, so I feel very relaxed. I don't know. You can't be pissed that you're in Hawai'i and finishing up the year, so enjoying the course, the conditions, the challenge that it brings. It helps me play well.
Q. Overall, what will you take away from this first day knowing that conditions might pick up a little bit tomorrow as well?
BIANCA PAGDANGANAN: I think just really a lot of patience and kind of just dealing with the cards that are basically dealt. Is that right? Yeah, playing with the cards that you're dealt.
Q. Yeah.
BIANCA PAGDANGANAN: I don't know if I said that right. Basically, whatever it brings, you just kind of have to deal with it. There is only so much you can control out on the golf course, so it's how you manage your game and just I think bringing a lot of the patience into tomorrow.
