Q. I'm here at the TOTO Japan Classic joined by Ayaka Furue. What are your thoughts on playing in Japan this week?

AKAYA FURUE: This area is where I'm from, so I'm looking forward to playing. Also this is one of the only tournaments here of the U.S. LPGA, so I'm happy to be here.

Q. As a former JLPGA player, what's it like to see other JLPGA players in the field this week?

AKAYA FURUE: Other JLPGA, they are playing better and they are improving their games, so I try help to boost them.

Q. What's it like to be a player from Japan playing in your home country?

AKAYA FURUE: I'm a member of the U.S. LPGA and I have a Tour card, and that's why I'm here this week, but I'm also a Japanese player, so I feel like I'm visiting Japan. So this is one of the tournaments I'm looking forward to playing.

Q. You've had a great season, 10 top finishes so far. Talk about how you feel you've played this whole season.

AKAYA FURUE: My game has been very consistent, so I'm just trying to keep what I'm doing, and I'm hoping I can get a good result.
