MAYBANK CHAMPIONSHIP

October 26, 2024

Ruixin Liu

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club

Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Ruixin after her third round at the Maybank Championship. Just talk about your round today; 4-under 68.

RUIXIN LIU: Well, you know, at the beginning it was a little bit frustrating because all the way until hole 17 I haven't holed anything more than six feet.

So with the swing being that good just not be able to hole anything is a little frustrating, but to finish strong with two birdies really made my day.

Q. And how did you stay patient out there, do you think?

RUIXIN LIU: I kind of get a little angry at myself with my putting a little bit, but John said, hey, forget about it. Let's move on. You're going to get the last two.

Q. Did you check leaderboards at all out there?

RUIXIN LIU: I did look at my phone to check the leaderboard on 18. I know I'm far away but I'm just cheering my friend? Ruoning on.

Q. You never know. A lot can happen tomorrow. How excited are you for the opportunity to chase tomorrow?

RUIXIN LIU: For me to be in the Asian Swing right after Boston feels surreal. Right now I'm just surrounding myself in this atmosphere and enjoying my day.

Q. You've had a lot of great runs throughout the year. How would you describe this year?

RUIXIN LIU: I think I made a lot of improvement and I think my allergy feel much better after some treatment. Overall very satisfied and now just try to go low tomorrow.
