Quick Quotes
Q. Here at the BMW Ladies Championship, 8-under, bogey-free what was working so well for you?
HANNAH GREEN: When I actually played in the Pro-Am a couple days ago, I had the same score. It was nice to play some simple golf. Last week in China, I just had a very mixed scorecard, made some bigger numbers, and just to go bogey-free was really nice but it also helps when you hit 18 greens. I think I only missed one fairway.
So it was nice to be really stress-free out there and obviously see a few putts go.
Q. Speaking of China, you mentioned to me last week, you took a little bit of time off. Was last week more about getting the rust off and how do you feel now compared to last week?
HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, I definitely think. So even though it's only five weeks I didn't play as much as I would have liked back in Perth. The weather actually wasn't as great as I was hoping it would be back at home but obviously sometimes life just gets really busy, and it actually was a busier trip than I thought.
I did kind of know that it was going to be a little bit probably tougher last week, and I actually decided yesterday to not play a practice round and just do some good practise because I felt like I also wasn't able to do that last week in China. I think that paid off today.
Q. What do you make of this course? You went bogey-free but what are you trying to navigate out there?
HANNAH GREEN: The greens are really large here. So I think it's really easy to hit a lot of greens but making sure you're on the right quadrants, and obviously giving yourself good enough looks to actually make birdie. That will be definitely the plan for the next few days.
I guess we've got some rain incoming and some possible thunderstorms, so just seeing what happens. It's nice to get off to a good start and get myself a later tee time tomorrow. But hopefully play is fine tomorrow, not too many delays, and hopefully the weather holds up with this golf course.
Yeah, it's nice to be at the top of the leaderboard after round one.
Q. Very bunched up leaderboard. What's it going to take to separate yourself from the pack?
HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, it's going to be difficult. Hopefully I just continue with this momentum. But again, because I think tomorrow is so unknown and especially here in Korea, we're up in the hills, sometimes you get the weather, sometimes you don't. It just kind of depends on how tomorrow plays. I guess the rain will make the course a lot softer so probably expect some low scores again. Hopefully I just keep the putter rolling.
