BMW LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP

October 17, 2024

Gemma Dryburgh

Busan, South Korea

LPGA International Busan

Quick Quotes

Q. Here after your first round here at the BMW Ladies Championship. What were some of the highlights?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, had quite a few birdies out there. Hit the ball well. Had a nice birdie on -- nice putt on -- I can't remember the hole actually. Had a few nice putts out there and rolled the ball nicely, and hit quite a lot of greens, as well.

Q. What is it about this course that maybe brings out some of your strengths, and maybe what are you still trying to navigate out there?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, I mean, off the tee, wasn't my best today. But it's quite wide out there. So you can get away with a few things like that. I'll work on that this afternoon. Rolled the putter well. The greens are cut quite nicely with the break today, so hopefully keep that going.

Q. Heading into the final stretch of the season, how good does it feel to get off to a little bit of a good start here in Korea?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, it feels good. Nice to be back in Asia. I love coming over here. Some of my best finishes have been in Asia. Nice to be back. I enjoy the food and the culture, and all the fans are very enthusiastic, as well, which I love.

Q. What will you take away from this round heading into the rest of the week?

GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, just seeing the ball go in the hole. Hitting the ball well from the approach shots. So just take that confidence into tomorrow.
