Quick Quotes
Q. You shot 10-under in your first round last year and 8-under today. What is it about this course that brings out your strengths?
ASHLEIGH BUHAI: I don't know, I just like the way it looks in my eye. The greens are big, and you've just got to break them up and make sure you hit them into those areas, and I think if you do, it's scorable. But if you don't, you can have some pretty long tricky putts here.
Q. Takes through the round. Obviously bogey-free. What were some of the highlights out there?
ASHLEIGH BUHAI: Yeah, just getting off to a good start. We teed off on the back nine. Playing so early, it was cooler and the ball wasn't flying so far. So you had to calibrate for that.
I birdied the second -- my second hole, 11 and 12. 12 was playing really tough today. I hit a 7-wood in there to like six feet. I think that was my best shot of the day. Stayed very patient. You know, didn't have to trip once today, and that shows the ball-striking was there and the putting was there today, too.
Q. So how many times have you been to this event before?
ASHLEIGH BUHAI: I think this is my third time. It's our second time here, but we've played at other places before.
Q. It's your third time in Korea?
ASHLEIGH BUHAI: Third or fourth, I think. Might be my fifth.
Q. What do you think went really well for you today? What contributed to your score?
ASHLEIGH BUHAI: Definitely my putting. Like I said, I worked pretty hard the last two days. I didn't putt well last week and needed to make some adjustments, which I did with my putting coach. And it was a little uncomfortable but I just got in and I trusted the process because I knew that it was giving me the right results.
Obviously that's just the hardest part is standing over and trusting it, but I did that well. Obviously you need to putt well to shoot 8-under on any golf course.
