Quick Quotes
Q. Stephan, final round playing in contention. Birdie on the last. Wife and kid there to greet you. What are thoughts?
STEPHAN JAEGER: I didn't drive it good enough today. You know, this golf course gets in your head a little bit the longer you play, right?
So I hit some squirrelly drives today. A lot of off-the-left tee shots or winds for a right-hander is always tough.
But I gave it my best shot. I birdied 13, 14, 15 maybe to give myself a shot. Obviously Matt is playing really well, so obviously probably going to come up one or two short.
But great week. Really enjoyed this week. The golf course is great. It finally I think showed some teeth on the weekend with the greens firming up.
It's been a fun week. We enjoyed it here. Off to Vegas we go.
Q. What was it like being in contention, especially coming down this stretch you know you need to maybe play aggressive?
STEPHAN JAEGER: Yeah, it's hard to play aggressive with the greens being firm, right? I actually hit two really good putts on the par-3 15. I thought I made it. Actually hit a good putt on 16 and 17, right on the lip.
So I gave myself a shot. Like I said, I didn't drive it well enough to give myself shorter clubs in and ample opportunity for birdie.
But sometimes you have that. I made some nice putts coming in, so I'm happy with that.
Q. Vegas next week. Great regular season. What are you looking for this fall?
STEPHAN JAEGER: Yeah, that was it. I wanted to be in contention, get some juices flowing. Obviously wanted to win. That's always the goal.
But I'm happy with how my game is trending. I played solid. Last week in Jackson I kind of finished on a low note there with a double on the last on Sunday. That hurt a little bit.
To come back and birdie the last and end up I think finishing second is a big one for me.
