Joe Dean

Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France

Le Golf National

Quick Quotes

Q. Considering you didn't see the back nine before Thursday, you would have taken where you are right now, wouldn't you?

JOE DEAN: Yeah, definitely. It's been a good couple of days with a bit of a mixed bag in the middle but yeah, tied third at the minute, and see what tomorrow brings.

Q. You've only had two bogeys all week. Have you pleased to eliminate the errors on a course like this?

JOE DEAN: Yeah, definitely. Obviously it's a lot easier, I think imagine this week than what it's before previously because wherever the ball lands it's pretty much staying.

I'm just, like I said, just trying to make it as simple as possible, hit the fairways, hit the greens and just see what the putter can do.

Q. How much is confidence a factor at the moment? I you might have missed one cut since your runner-up at the KLM and quite a few Top 5s in that time as well.

JOE DEAN: Yeah, again, I'm not trying to get ahead of myself by any means, and at the end of the day, I've just turned up to each event and the score is the main priority, and if that means finishing 60th, I'll finish first, second, third, whatever it is, then that is what it is. So just try not to get ahead of myself and try and play simple golf.
