Q. Here with Mao Saigo after her third round at the Buick LPGA Shanghai, just a phenomenal round. What went into today?

MAO SAIGO: I played a good round, was very relaxed and played very freely and had a great result. I am very happy with that.

Q. Did you know the situation before your eagle putt on 17? What was kind of the reaction after you made your putt and saw you jumped into first place?

MAO SAIGO: I knew that scores and standings were changing throughout the day. I just concentrated on playing my best. I made some good shots and made that last long putt that put me into the lead.

Q. You've had six top-10 finishes this season in your rookie year. How great would it finally be to get the win, especially in the first leg of the Asia swing?

MAO SAIGO: I have three years of experience playing in Japan and also played in some LPGA majors before. I just played my best golf and all this hard work and experience came to fruition today with a great result for me.

Q. How excited are you going to be to play in front of the Chinese crowds while playing along side Ruoning Yin?

MAO SAIGO: I'm excited to play tomorrow and will do my best to try and win the tournament. I really just am looking to concentrate on playing my best and doing my best out there.
