Quick Quotes
Q. Nice playing?
ADAM SVENSSON: Thank you.
Q. How would you describe playing golf on this course? I've heard it described as the surface of the moon or similar to desert golf in Scottsdale, Arizona. How would you describe this place?
ADAM SVENSSON: It's difficult if you're not hitting it well off the tee. The fairways are decently wide, but it's just pretty much rocks if you miss the fairway. Pretty much lose your ball. The greens are tricky, getting faster, a lot of slope.
So should be a good weekend.
Q. Harris was just saying there is a lot of blind shots. What holes are the blind shots?
ADAM SVENSSON: There is a bunch. I think 11. I don't know off the top of my head. Couple drivable par-4s there that are blind. Probably five holes I would say that are pretty much just hitting into the abyss.
Q. Is that unusual for you guys?
ADAM SVENSSON: It is, yeah. Usually you only get one. I don't mind it. You just kind of get up there and pick your target and hit it.
Q. So you won at Sea Island, right?
ADAM SVENSSON: (Nods.)
Q. What do you remember about that victory and how might that come into play this weekend?
ADAM SVENSSON: Feels like a long time ago. You know, different weather, different conditions. It's completely different. But I just kind of take what I learned from not even Sea Island, just in the past of playing on the weekend in contention and just trying to make pars and play steady golf.
Q. Who is out here for you? Who do you have friends and family-wise?
ADAM SVENSSON: Just myself and my girlfriend. That's it.
Q. Talk about your round today, if you can.
ADAM SVENSSON: Yeah, it was good. A little shaky off the first couple holes, but still hit the ball well. You know, the putter really let me down today. Wasn't working very good.
But, you know, do a little practice and see if I can find something.
Q. What was your mindset after such a great round yesterday? Going into today what was the plan and goals?
ADAM SVENSSON: I didn't have a goal. I knew I was hitting the ball well. Mentally I told myself I got to do what I did yesterday. If you make a couple mistakes it's all right.
I was over par there for a little bit and I just kept plugging along; got a couple back.
Q. How excited are you for the next two rounds?
ADAM SVENSSON: Yeah, very excited. It's been -- feels like been a while since I've been up this high on the leaderboard. I'm sure someone is going to shoot 15-, 16-under. Yeah, I'm excited for the weekend.
