Q. Thomas, third round of the week, 63 around here at Le Golf National. Talk us through your day.

THOMAS DETRY: Got off to a great start. It's the type of golf course where it gives you a couple of opportunities in the first cup of holes, if you drive it well, which I did all week so far, you can go low. We all know going in the rough is not good. I hit in the rough a couple of times and came out with bad lies. But I hit a lot of fairways the last two days and I've been playing much better today, at least. Struggled a little bit on the greens yesterday, and kind of changed my mindset, not hoping for it to go in and just try to hit good putts, and they went in today.

I've struggled with my ball-striking the last couple weeks and I spent a couple hours on the range with my coach and found something. Worked today and felt much better.

Q. Is there something about the course that suits your eye?

THOMAS DETRY: I just love it. I've been here several times. I've also shot 63 on a Friday, I believe. Obviously the course is playing completely different conditions. I love it. I'm close to home here. Lots of friends coming over the weekend, fans, family is not far away, as well. I've played the course so many times. First time time here, I was 12 years old, so I'm pretty familiar with the place.
