Quick Quotes
Q. Good to see you back here at Le Golf National and Open de France. How are you feeling on the back of the Alfred Dunhill Links?
BILLY HORSCHEL: I feel good. Didn't play as well as I would have liked last week. My ball-striking just wasn't very good but had an enjoyable week.
The weather, couldn't have asked for better weather the first three rounds, no wind, sunny. I mean, I've never seen weather like that in the four years previously I played.
Yeah, it was a good week and excited to come back down here. We've got a bad day today, but I think after this gets through I think the rest of the week looks really good.
Q. On the back of the Alfred Dunhill Links, the PGA, it was more about swapping stories with celebrities, isn't it?
BILLY HORSCHEL: It's more about having a good time. Fortunate for me I don't have to worry about grinding away trying to keep a card. There's a lot of guys that are in that zone right now at this time of year, and so it's a little bit more stressful for them.
But for me it's always been an enjoyable week to go over there, spend time at the Home of Golf, which I love. I love St Andrews, and you know, an out with a lot of cool people that are playing that week.
Q. Looking forward to the week ahead? Maybe not the weather. How is the course looking so far?
BILLY HORSCHEL: It's wet. There's no doubt about it. It's going to be a wet week. I don't think this course is -- obviously it looks like it drains well but obviously it's not going to get firm and fast compared to what this course used to be I think in June when they had it in early July.
It's a great golf course. I love the golf course. It's one of the reasons I didn't came back again this year, and I think the scoring is going to be really good because of the soft conditions.
The greens are looking pure. They are rolling pure, and you're going to have soft conditions. So guys are going to be going at it. I think this course is going to lend itself to possibly some low scores depending on how the wind is. If the wind gets up, it's a little bit more challenging but if it's not, there's going to be some low scores this week.
Q. What you have your sights set on between now and the end of the DP World Tour season?
BILLY HORSCHEL: Two more wins, this week and then The DP World Tour Championship.
Any time you tee it up, you want to win and you want to accumulate as many wins as you can in your career. Would love to add The French Open, the FedEx French Open to my resumé and be able to have a chance to win the Tour Championship.
I don't know if winning this week and winning in Dubai would set me over Rory winning The Race to Dubai. But any time you get a chance to travel around the world and win tournaments, you show that you truly are a global player and somewhat of a world-class player.
Q. Would love to see a bit of drama at the end anyway?
BILLY HORSCHEL: Yeah, you always want to see drama at the end. You always want to see the excitement.
As a golf fan myself, you want to see something exciting towards the end of a golf tournament. There's always good things when you have drama there.
