Q. Incredible start in the Open de France, 66. Were those good conditions, first one out this morning?

FABRIZIO ZANOTTI: Yes, I'm really happy with my round. Conditions wasn't that bad actually is because not too much wind, the greens are soft and being the first on the greens, they were perfect. Happy with my performance today.

Q. Seeing what the course was like yesterday afternoon, being first to tee off today, you probably thought you weren't going to be out there.

FABRIZIO ZANOTTI: When I get the message there was not going to be a delay, it surprised me. Actually I was expecting a delay.

But then I went to the golf course and the golf course is in really good shape. They did a great job. I don't know how they do it because the fairways and the greens were completely playable, very good. I think they do a great job.

Q. What's the biggest challenges out there? Especially with the rain, just make sure you stay out of the rough?

FABRIZIO ZANOTTI: Yeah, I think that's the big thing today because there are some places in the rough where the water is quite big.

But like I told you with all the rain that we have, it's impossible to don't have that.

Q. How are you doing? Seven weeks on the trot for you.

FABRIZIO ZANOTTI: I'm tired, missing my kids. But it's okay. I need to play. I didn't have a good year, so just trying to enjoy. It's not easy, this situation, but I'm just trying to enjoy.

Q. Race to Dubai on your mind? Is there a number you want to finish at the end of the season?

FABRIZIO ZANOTTI: At the moment I'm going day-by-day and round-by-round. I'm a little behind in the rankings. So I just need to play good to keep my card and hopefully, you never know, with a good week, you can climb a little more the rankings, also.
