Q. 8th tee, what club, what shot, the flight, the yardage, and the ball going in and the reaction, please. Tell us everything.

ANDREW WILSON: 160. Perfect 9-iron. Thought it was a bit short. Yeah, it was a pretty good number and just trickled in. Went wild to be honest. I didn't think I had it in me. I was pretty happy.

Q. Hole-in-one, aiming for the hole but when it goes in, do you go, wow?

ANDREW WILSON: Yeah, I think the epitomises hole-in-one for me is I haven't had one for 12 years and I had four before the age of 13. So yeah, they have got quite a bit of luck element to it.

Yeah, it's obviously nice to have one, and it's a great thing to see on the scorecard.

Q. The other 17 holes, there was seven birdies?

ANDREW WILSON: Yeah, seven birdies.

Q. Tell us about the rest of it. That's a pretty impressive round, isn't it?

ANDREW WILSON: Yeah, played great. Hit all 18 greens. Missed a couple of putts here and there. I can't complain. Great start to the week.

Q. It's getting towards the end of the season where you want to keep your card, so this is important. What's happened today? What was special about today? Did you feel good?

ANDREW WILSON: Not particularly. I'm having a few issues with my back. It's been bad for the last 21/2 months.

But to be fair, I've played great most of the season. I've had seven top 20s in the events I've played. Just not had it on Sunday. I think when I can finally string four rounds together, I'll be there or thereabouts.

Q. When you wake up in the morning and see the weather, how much are you looking forward to playing it?

ANDREW WILSON: Yeah, especially on a day like today, if the wind picks up tomorrow and the rain comes, I probably won't feel that optimistic.

Q. When you go home, you'll look at the leaderboard and you're there, so that must give you great confidence carrying on for three days?

ANDREW WILSON: Like I say I've had a pretty solid season apart from Sundays. I've been second-to-last group three times. Yeah, I know I've got it. Like I said, it's just all coming together.
