Q. Seven birdies, an eagle, no dropped shots. You're smiling. Tell us about today?

SCOTT JAMIESON: Well, yeah, what's not to love? You've got Scotland, the sun is out, no wind. It's pretty much the perfect day, isn't it.

Q. Tell us what really pleased you out there.

SCOTT JAMIESON: Yeah, the beauty of links golf is that maybe there's sometimes a little more space off some of the tees, so I may be hit one or two bad shots today off the tee but there's a bit of room out there, and I was still able to hit some iron shots close.

So yeah, approach and putting were both on point today.

Q. When you got here on Tuesday, you couldn't stand up. When you opened the curtains, what did you think?

SCOTT JAMIESON: I saw the forecast and knew it was going to be favorable but for it to turn out as nice as this, just a privilege to play in this kind of weather.

Q. When you play on a golf course like this, does it make you play different shots? We are used to seeing, not all the same courses, but it's boom, and chip. Does it test you? Do you enjoy the challenges of links golf?

SCOTT JAMIESON: Definitely, yeah. You can run the ball in if you want. Normally you can use the wind; there wasn't much to use today. It's definitely a different style. There's just so many more options.

I think it's a little more fun to play.

Q. So you've got St Andrews and Carnoustie to come. Tell us your thoughts about that, and playing at the Home of Golf, you're playing at a golf course, as well, Carnoustie.

SCOTT JAMIESON: Carnoustie is probably my favourite out of the three. It's obviously probably the hardest out of the three golf courses but I think it's the best test. Playing at St Andrews is always so special. Yeah, I'm looking forward to the next two days.

Q. Target for the year, you probably want to be in Dubai, don't you?

SCOTT JAMIESON: That would be nice.

Q. Tell us how you feel after this, and that gives you momentum hopefully?

SCOTT JAMIESON: I felt like the last month or, so I've been playing a bit better than my results. So you've just got to keep telling yourself that, you know, you're moving in the right direction. I started the year well, so I would hate to not be in the last couple of events.

Big push for the next few weeks, and then hopefully be there.
