Q. Fabulous start, 67, give us an evaluation of your day out there?

SEPP STRAKA: It's kind of the tale of two nines. The front nine I didn't feel like I could miss a shot. I kept hitting it close. I didn't make any putts at all. Shot 3-under. Then on the back nine, missed a bunch of fairways, got some in some tough positions, missed some greens and had to fight for 1-under on the back.

So yeah, it was kind of a mixed bag, but played tough out there today. So I'm really happy with it.

Q. One of the reasons it played tough was the wind. How testing was the wind out there?

SEPP STRAKA: A lot of crosswinds and the fairways are really narrow. So it made it really tough to get the ball in play. And when you did have a wedge in your hands, it was still tough to really get a good number because the wind was really kind of gusting a little bit.

Q. You mentioned the greens there, as well. Slower today than they have been first two practise days. How tough to adjust, especially with the wind?

SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, they had to slow them down with the wind, and yeah, it's definitely pretty tough. Definitely had some trouble on the front nine. But felt like I had a little bit better speed on the back nine and made a few putts.

Q. Playing with Jon Rahm, how was the atmosphere out there today?

SEPP STRAKA: Yeah, it was great. It's an honour to be able to play with him here in his home open. We had a really great time.
