Quick Quotes
Q. You're a tight friend of Evan's. This has to be pretty good after losing a Junior final 10 & 8 and then last year.
MIKEY MOYERS: Yeah, this is a big deal for me. He talked about it all -- I think it made it that much harder for him. That's kind of why he never let up intensity the whole time he was out there.
On 9 back there, he said, man, I wanted to make that birdie to stop the bleeding. I'm like, you're 9-up, 8-up. That's where his mind was. He felt like he was tied the whole time. I mean, I was relaxing. I felt comfortable, especially knowing he was in that mindset.
Q. How good was his play this week?
MIKEY MOYERS: The last two rounds were back to where he was. I think he was a little shaky in the middle there, but the thing that's changed about him is his whole attitude is completely different. He doesn't make excuses. He was in about four or five minutes and nobody probably knew it because he didn't huff and puff about it. He hit a bad shot, we didn't talk about it. We just went up and hit the next one. We didn't think about the past at all unless it was -- we never talked about previous shots. If he hit a bad putt, if he missed one, it wasn't did you read that wrong, did you pull it, no, we went to the next one. I think that kind of attitude is maturity and older age is what helped a lot. That's the biggest change I've seen him make. He's always hit it good.
